Meet Team Testomato: Zee

Who are you and what is your role at Testomato?
Hi, I’m Zee. I’m a User Experience / Data Visualization expert, and my role at Testomato is prototyping the interface and improving User Experience. I work closely with everyone to make Testomato more usable and generally, pleasant for people to use.
I’m also the one responsible for “this service is stupid” and “I don’t understand what I’m supposed to do now” moments. So, if you run into a situation like this, don’t hesitate to contact us at @testomatocom or info@testomato.com and let us know!
What’s the best part of your job?
I enjoy submitting concepts for deployment – after all the initial technicalities have been resolved, but before any “reality checks” from the rest of the team. It’s a rare and brief moment when every concept seems perfect and elegant :D.
What’s your favorite part of working on this project?
I love the challenge created by the simple fact that our target audience has a technical knowledge that I don’t have, and yet, I need to make our service more useful for them.
How did you get into UX design?
Since my childhood, I’ve always been fascinated by infographics, product design, and the optimization of things. So, UX design is more or less my dream job.
I got my BS degree in Psychology and then, switched to web design jobs that naturally let me to try and utilize two disciplines at once. UX is a space that allows you to do that.
What’s your least favorite error?
I don’t really have a least favorite error, they are all BAD (haha). I do have a favorite error though – “We’ve found a PHP error”. That means we’re useful – and that’s why we’re all here.
What’s the biggest challenge for you at work?
Someone keeps stealing the brown sugar from our office floor (we have two kitchens)! Just kidding. The biggest challenge for me is prototyping for developers without actually being a developer.
Tell us one geeky fact about yourself.
I’m not sure if this is cool enough, but it always make my friends in finance and accounting squeal: I can name and differentiate between 30-50 shades of green.
